Special projects are ones that offer interesting challenges, often under tight deadlines. These involve programming special features into presentations designed by others, creating Shockwave games and animations for, or in collaboration with other developers, or working with teams to provide programming and development expertise.

Interactive music product
For this “magic player piano”, music rolls are selected and played while notes and lyrics are highlited to aid singing and note learning. Controls let users change key, tempo, choose to highlight words or notes, or show animations while the songs play.

Shockwave children’s game
This website game was designed to help market a children’s book and involves selecting items according to a recipe. On each start, the game presents a different recipe and a new set of ingredients.

Shockwave midi game
The client wanted to add a music game to a large educational web site, where visitors could test their musical knowledge using a midi keyboard attached to their computer. This one involved passing information between a database and the Shockwave game, as well as working interactively with midi data and sound. Game players choose from five different characters, and animation is synced to the midi input.
